Going so much against the grain of her whole field is obviously not the lucrative path—who the heck does a whole PhD and a postdoc and then anticipates a pandemic in which something like this would be a topic and then becomes a "grifter"??? How is this not obvious to many of you?

Alina Chan, or her book, is the least of the problem the "correct" field faces in this issue of origins, and it is amazing to me that so many cannot see this obvious fact and try to focus on the real problem, which has just begun to play out, and is potentially catastrophic.
