The problems we face go far beyond funding cuts and and an anti-science attitude—though those things are *very* real. I had thousands and thousands of words on examples of things we just.. couldn't figure out and execute, even when we tried, even when we should have been able to.

Was lack of regulation or regulatory oversight really the chief problem of the pandemic? Most of the big losses I saw came from bureacratic failures: testing approvals, no challenge trials, insistence on two-dose regiment, recommendations against masks.

Is there any news about whether the US will discourage Moderna under 30 like Europe? Seems like part of that calculus is Pfizer is around, so why take the bump in risk which might otherwise be acceptable in isolation. But I've noticed a bump in anti-vax regarding the silence.
