I keep seeing this claim. FWIW, Israel has fully-vaccinated only about 63% of its population—somewhat similar to the United States. It was never highly-vaccinated, let alone "universal vaccination." I’m open to the argument that for some reason we just can’t do what South Korea did. That might even be true. But I find it baffling that we don’t even talk about it. It’s completely absent from any policy discussion about the pandemic.

Portugal might be worth a look also. I think they have really high vaccination rate.

Perhaps Denmark. We do not quite as high vaccination rate but I think the overall death rate is lower during Covid than before.
