I’ll be honest: I had absolutely no idea “fear of needles” could be this powerful (and I have to look away whenever I get a shot or blood drawn).https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/15/opinion/covid-vaccines-unvaccinated.html …

As I said, I have to look away when I'm getting a shot or having blood drawn. I just never realized so many had it so intensely that it would affect the bottom-line numbers.

It’s so hard to understand when you don’t have this fear. But I’ve seen it with my son and ex and boy it is so much more than it sounds. It’s a 45m-1hr process from the shot going in until they are standing up again (they have to lie down)+ all the pre shot avoidance tactics.

I know people who will take any pill/do whatever their doctor recommends, who won’t get vaccinated. I thought it was a weird moral stance or something but I’m wondering now if they just haven’t gotten a shot since childhood and REALLY don’t want to.

The only few people in my life who won’t get vaccinated are men. My woman friends have mostly had babies aka TONS of shots/medical care. Makes sense they would be less freaked out.
