Are we thinking about the same scientist here? Because “bounds of science” is an apt description of the content he posts. I haven’t seen another immunologist on this platform as familiar with the covid immunology literature as he is.

AJL made the remark in March when no data was available other than the 10-20% vaccine efficacy against infection. Considering the FDA threshold for covid vaccines was set at 50% efficacy, saying it wasn’t a good vaccine against beta was a fair statement with the data we had then.
