Agreed. 99% of the time I have no idea what he is talking about, just a compilation of scary, novel & scientific words with no actual meaning & zero scientific sense. Interestingly, people rt things they don’t fully understand.

It seems to be less than RSV if you just look at 0-2 year olds where RSV hits hardest - but with the big caveat that we don't know the true infection rate of RSV and I wouldn't be surprised based on recent surges if RSV had a >50% annual attack rate in that age group.

Finally, OC43 and other "common cold" viruses cause fatal outbreaks in nursing homes (immunosenescence: we are not immortal) threaten the immunocompromised etc. "Pandemics end" is not a dismissive statement. I personally think we should redo our respiratory disease approaches.
