If booster doses could be whisked over to unvaccinated people I would send them in a heartbeat. If they can’t they should be used here. The immunology and short-term clinical data show value. I’m scratching my head at the people trashing them. Uptake will magnify the benefits.

Yes, I think that’s sadly right. Although I think we’re much farther from deploying a Delta specific booster than many people think.

I’m confused, why would people that already aren’t choosing to be vaccinated choose differently if a Delta specific vaccine was available? It would certainly be great if unvaccinated people would get vaccinated but that’s an option for them right now

People would then insist that we shouldn’t judge HICs for providing a Delta booster because it’s “clinically optimal” I agree w/Ed that forgoing boosters that won’t be sent overseas isn’t sensible. But policy should approach pandemics at a population not a clinical level
