The mayor of San Fransisco at a jazz club last Thursday. The maskless partying became news because a reporter was there. Yes there is a mask mandate in SF. The issue isn’t what I think is fine. It’s that rules work if they’re workable and seen as fair.pic.twitter.com/keFyl2YbKN

Core issue isn't whether she or anyone else there was technically violating the mandate or not. (Though we do have eyes). Rules have to make sense, be seen as fair and be workable. No masks if you hold a drink in your hand for three hours isn't that.https://twitter.com/Feynman_19/status/1439979058096451585 …

Feynman @Feynman_19Replying to @zeynepShe defended this by essentially claiming she was between bites of food/sips of her drink, even though she is not once seen sipping in this minute-long clip. As a person who makes a concerted effort to be sufficiently hydrated, I’m perpetually “between sips” by her standard.12 replies 26 retweets 345 likesShow this thread -

I've seen many examples globally, but it would be an interesting case study to compare and contrast rules and countries, and politicians caught breaking and flaunting them.https://twitter.com/MaxAllstadt/status/1439979713250856960 …

Also, this has been going crazy viral for days now, especially among people/groups opposed to masking and/or mandates. If today is the first you've seen it, think about this moment again when you wonder why things are difficult.

*"San Francisco" — for some reason I can RT videos only from the phone and my typo defenses are even weaker on the phone.

I don’t know about you, but my spellcheck has lately become insane on my iPad (I’m writing this within Safari, not on the iPad app). It will autocorrect words sometimes 2 or 3 words back.

I read and write in more than one language so it's a mess for me...

Conrad said he wrote in English, thought in French, and dreamed in Polish. Anyway, my spellcheck has become a nightmare in one language, so I can only feel for your plight.
