LAUSD has VERY surprisingly done well with all of this, and partnered with UCLA for a study. (The daily things may be part of it, actually.) They're tested weekly, and the results come the next day. It's just shocking to me when a massive institution manages to be efficient.

It's efficient at our LAUSD school, but yes, it's a flawed system. For me, I just want parents not to send sick kids to school, and hope this adds a layer that would lessen that (not stop it entirely, of course). There are definitely needless rituals that have arisen during this!
