If it's a chemical that's bad for viruses, probably bad for other organic tissue too. This stuff can settle and get aerosolized later.

I wouldn't be shocked if the person that ordered that spraying was a troll first and foremost but also a conspiracy theorist --- trying to troll as many different people in one swoop. Pure hygiene theater trolls some & attempts at mitigating covid's spread trolls others.

I know of no spray that is as effective as masks and good ventilation in diminishing airborne viruses.
