BSL2 is not an appropriate biosafety level for working with infectious SARS-related coronaviruses. Especially the ones you've already determined can replicate in human cells and use the human ACE2 receptor.

Agreed: 'Makes no sense to be doing “statistics”.' And yet I built a tool that demonstrates how one can update their zoonotic v lab priors as new evidence comes to light: https://getguesstimate.com/models/18631 (opportunities for biases abound
)

It is based on Bayes Theorem for updating prior probabilities. (Intuitive youtube background video here on Bayes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZGCoVF3YvM … ) As each fresh piece of evidence comes to light, the tool updates the probabilities of zoonotic and lab leak simultaneously.

Here is the common sense stat one can infer from just how atypical sars2 origin has been Since these variables r mostly independent, it multiples exponentially lean leak…https://twitter.com/HL3133/status/1413680608929255428 …
