my husband points out that the new flavor of seltzer I am both drinking and giving to our kids is actually caffeinated seltzer, which is not something I knew existed and let me tell you, that explains some things

No, no let's talk on the phone! How about around 2AM your local time? Just leave your ringer on and I'l make sure it rings till you wake up! I'll happily do it till y'all change your font and make that "caffeinated" word more visible on your cans! 😁https://twitter.com/bublywater/status/1380634000444755972 …

I had this problem earlier this spring with Crystal Light drink packets. The Strawberryesque flavor is caffeniated, which it says in pretty low-key font & color.

In equally small letters are the description of what the drink is. If you see “lemon” and you are actively avoiding sugars, you would check, right? If I see “tea” I certainly would wonder, any time after 14:00 is the “tea” in question is caffeinated.

The worst offender I remember growing up was Barq's Root Beer. It sometimes had caffeine and sometimes doesn't, and you had to check the Nutrition Facts to see if it did or not.

I’ve only ever really seen a tea beverage say decaf if it’s actually decaf. So you should assume a tea beverage is caffeinated if it doesn’t actually say decaf.

I’ve been effectively off caffeine for 2+ years. Came home today dying of thirst, chugged the only cold liquid in the frig = 1 L of coke, not decaf variety. Have just experienced over an hour of accelerated heartbeat, 20+ bpm over normal just sitting on the couch doing nothing.

if you chug an entire liter of coke, you’re reacting to 100 grams of sugar. it only has 96 g of caffeine, the equivalent of 1 cup (8oz) of coffee

But you’re Turkish! One would think you are genetically immune to any effects of caffeine seeing how (that delicious) Turkish coffee has the consistency of hot asphalt and one inevitably consumes some grounds with it! 😂 🇹🇷 ☕️
