We discussed it in detail in the paper. These conditions are nonmodifiable w/ education & enforcement. “Contact patterns are driven, in large part, by socioeconomic inequities and structural racism and are nonmodifiable at the individual level in the absence of specific support.”

The terminology is very misleading. The addition 'at the individual level' is absolutely key. Otherwise we move very quickly into the fatalistic policy territory--currently playing out in the UK.
