Agree wholeheartedly. Even if C19 not lab leak, conditions exist that we need to look into globally to prevent a lab leak in the future. That’s the bigger issue. Plus the venom aimed at scientists/science reporters who considered the lab leak theory as plausible in 2020.

Indeed! The lessons were already there, and are there even more clearly. An important approach in preventing rare but catastrophic events is to extensively study near-misses. It's not about casting blame (even if there is or not any blame) as much as learning for the future.
