there is no "variant" (i.e. a #SARSCoV2 strain only containing SNPs/indels, but no recombination w/another novel β-CoV), present *or* future that is capable of bringing things "back" to early 2020 for those vaccinated.

does this mean the pandemic is imminently over? well, looking at a world map of vaccinations shows there are plenty of places that *could* easily experience another Jan. 2020 of Wuhan, Mar. 2020 of USA or Apr. 2021 of India.

I don’t understand it. We all know what may well be coming, and it’s not a forever pandemic the way some of these stories imply. I haven’t read that article so I don’t know what to say. Maybe they think this will move the needle? I’m for whatever moves the needle tbh but..
