So I’m moving soon. So far, I’ve found: my PhD diploma. Notes for my masters thesis. Boxes of things labeled “to sort”.
Boxes of thing with no label. Calendars never used, going back, umm, a few years. Maybe many years. Stuff (??) other people left, long time ago. Fun day.

I’m going with the theory if I didn’t need something for the last decade, I probably don’t need it for the next one.

Look at every item and ask yourself, "does this spark joy?" If it does, put it in the "Sparks Joy" box. Otherwise, put it in one of the other moving boxes.

Sadly, notes from my masters thesis do spark joy. I think I need sharper criteria. (I may or may not have rented storage space for “will kick this can down the road” boxes. Rumors about).

I put the bulky stuff that sparks long-term joy in one of the five storage units in various parts of the country I will pay for until my dying day
