If you haven’t priced in 40k Covid deaths/yr in the US in perpetuity...idk what to tell you There is a baseline of deaths we’re gonna have to accept
-
Which sounds callous until you consider that the regular flu kills ~25k per year and people consider that no big deal (and it’s far more lethal for folks under 70 than Covid).

Have some states just stopped reporting data? Are the numbers artificially low due to lack of reporting?

The US shouldn't be so worried about the US right now... the US should be worried about the other 7 billion people and the reservoir of new variants that could be hatching from this disease.

Please be careful with analysis of the data. Florida with still high numbers not counted as
@HealthyFla stopped reporting daily cases and deaths. Only weekly reporting now. So no reporting this weekend. Only weekly averages will become meaningful in the US now.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Context. 1 death per million per day is about what the US averages during flu season (35,000 deaths per annum - 100 days of flu season - 350 million population)
