An absolutely brilliant essay by @dylanhmorris. Explains why kids handle this virus so well, and many other insights.

Why isn’t each new seasonal coronavirus novel? What makes SARS-CoV-2 different to our immune system?
-
We were all repeatedly infected with the 4 seasonal coronaviruses as children, so we have lots of immunity now and it usually only causes mild cold symptoms. SARS-COV-2 jumped into humans in 2019, so lots of people were infected for the first time as adults.
