This is getting a lot of attention, but I don't know if people realize "anti-maskers" are not "unorthodox" in some sense: people on WHO's own infection protection committee and the person they assigned reviews on transmission have long publicly said they don't think masks work.

Yet, countries that used masks en masse (Taiwan, for example) got things under control.

hard to imagine there hasn't been enough real-world evidence to sway anyone simply looking for whatever is most likely correct, but I guess the point is that some people are only looking to disprove whatever is most likely correct.

I hate arguing with anti-maskers the mask data by it’s nature is incredibly messy. You need a ton of training to properly interpret it. You can disingenuously pull whatever argument you want out of it. The vaccine data on the other hand is unambiguous.

It’s not unorthodox to be against experimental injections that have not gone through traditional channels of approval, especially when multiple safe & effective treatments were attacked & maligned in an effort to make the experimental money grab possible

Are these the same people at the WHO that have steadfastly refused to accept aerosol transmission?

No, before last summer we were conservative in the historical sense. Even then we knew infection was a function of exposure level and not the result of a single particle. Unless one argued all particles escaped a mask & none were caught, one had to conclude they could help.
