Yes, good point. Though since this graph is by age, I don't know how many shots each group corresponds to in the first place. It would be good to see that: i.e. is the drop real but a big proportional drop from a small number? Something to watch.

It's also hard to factor in the normal life cycle of any such effort at these vaccinations. The first 50% of performance is always going to be the easiest, and the J&J pause came right as the supply met up with the demand from those who were already motivated.

J&j getting pulled didn't have a significant impact because all the vax sites quickly switched over to Moderna or Pfizer. What you are seeing is real & significant decline in vaccine interest and its directly tied to the pause undermining confidence.
