(All three are excellent resources for media). Our piece is longer but for my part: I think people can be advised to wear masks outdoors for prolonged encounters at close distance, especially if unvaccinated and/or if talking/yelling but restrictive mandates are not necessary.

I was under the impression that the science showed this by April, 2020.

2/2 I read that EVERYONE was safe a year ago outside at a distance regardless of vaccine status (since there weren’t vaccines). That’s how we visited with my mom all spring and summer.

NYT is totally botching this reporting. The CDC guidance on masks outdoors equally applies to *unvaccinated* people. And the restrictions are on "crowded spaces" not "large public spaces".
