@jljcolorado cigarette smoke analogy is best to describe the roll of distance indoors. The risk/smell will be highest the closer you are... but if you spend a lot of time in the room (e.g. classroom) and there is low ventilation there is risk/smell in most of the room. -
And by bad luck you may be in a room with a chain smoker (high shedding if viral load)!
