Correcting some aspects here- 1. There have been outbreaks of the B.1.351 variants in primaries, and resulted in surge testing in schools 2. Schools in Scotland partly opened on the 22nd Feb (primaries), & positivity rates in children have increased several fold sincehttps://twitter.com/zeynep/status/1384304239959105536 …

He is talking about B.1.617 *and* B.1.351 from his thread, as far as I can see. I completely agree that rises in B.1.617 at this stage are mostly travel linked (although there is also community spread), but that's not the case with B.1.351. I believe he's corrected in response.

I also don't think it's fair to say his thread 'implies vaccine failure'. A lot of us have been trying to make the point that vaccine roll-out even at the current level doesn't mean spread won't occur and we don't need NPIs. That's not implying vaccine failure.

It's not a correction 'urge'. You've stated before that you'd like to be corrected if you made an error- Scottish schools returned (primaries- P1-3) on 22nd Feb, and remaining primaries & some secondaries 15th March. The link you've put in is remaining returns after easter.

I've asked Eric to correct his thread as well with the caveat that he was not referring to B.1.617 spread. I would hope given that you've critiqued him putting out misleading information, that you would correct the information you've put out as well.

"I'm correcting your thread, which puts out information that isn't accurate" You're deflecting. Address it and correct your thread.
