The concentration of aerosols at close range is higher than at a distance so more likely. Yes, inhalation of aerosols at short and long range is the predominant pathway. There are now thousands of documented superspreader events. None can be explained without aerosol inhalation.

What part are you disagreeing with? You asserted that close prolonged contact is supported by vast epi lit. The higher concentration of aerosols near field has been demonstrated and documented widely. As a lay person, I don’t understand the disconnect.
