(I'm focused on how do we develop capacity for this new public sphere? I think these cycles of outrage focused on few, repeated famous targets undermine it all further tbh because of that "intra" part regardless of what people think about the appropriateness of targets.)

I agree—public health messaging needs to be rethought for this moment. But I also think folks are right to call out pundits for misusing their platforms. They collectively wield influence that they hide behind the info collective action problem to avoid responsibility for.
