i think that interpretation had legs when there were pauses during the studies of the vaccines because experts could reassure people with "hey this is how studies work to ensure safety" but it doesn't work after safety has been declared :(

we did the same 'cautious' pause in Europe with AZ vaccine. Now everyone I know prefers waiting for an appt with other vax rather than AZ. Maybe if we could promise x M€ to everyone who suffers a clotting event within y weeks of AZ shot, we could mitigate the hesitancy.
