Vaccine hesitancy is biggest problem in US going forward. And I know we really, really, REALLY, want to believe the public will see this as "the system is working!" but the reality is they will see it as another caution flag on vaccines. Public health needs it's scicomm A-game

Yep - cat out of the bag. And next set of comms critical to limit multiple cycles of "paused". Already see good scientists out in force working to place the result in context. Hopefully will temper first reactions to headlines...although we've seen how that goes...

What's a deployable sound bite for us laymen to our family sets that we can repost? The CDC needs to deploy damn messaging kits so we can organically promote.

Do you have a sense how much this might increase hesitance for Moderna/Pfizer? Any evidence from the AZ experience? Given where we are w/ vaccinations (incl ~80% of 65+), it's not clear pulling J&J by itself has much effect in US.
