Neverending beach photos even though we've known for almost a year covid doesn't spread outdoors... https://twitter.com/zeynep/status/1279432888048594944 …pic.twitter.com/DcZMzQ1ytz

CNN, today
I saw it on CNN today too :( International Edition
But @Zeynep, photo aside, doesn't it seem like B117 is more worrisome for children and young people than Covid Original Edition?
The only peer reviewed study I am aware of was printed in Feb: (https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanchi/article/PIIS2352-4642(21)00030-4/fulltext …), which suggested that there was not a significant difference. If one particular variant is more prevalent, it would seem to lend itself to showing up more in tested ped patients.
Hey @zeynep, is there some ‘definitive’ tweet of yours I can consistently refer to with the most up-to-date information/science/insights on outdoors vs indoors wrt virus spreading environments? All I’m seeing in the Belgian press are pictures of people gathering outside. Thanks.
Forbes had a pretty extensive fearmongering article over B117, I think that's where the "think about this as a whole new pandemic" line came from and was suggesting a whole new round of lockdowns before summer from one of the WH COVID advisers.
Zeynep, I think CNN is trolling you.pic.twitter.com/2mRTAQOdNp
Amazing troll job by CNN... huge bold font linking to an article that makes the most brittle arguments imaginable. Ends with "stay out of indoor bars"

Another one today. Every detail is specifically about indoor transmission(s). Not one mention of a beach. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/adolfoflores/coronavirus-man-arrest-infected-mallorca …pic.twitter.com/cz1z0wdkuJ
