It is not worth FDA's limited resources to consider this application as some in the public will never accept this vaccine, esp. as vaccination focus shifts from vulnerable to hesitant population. The US should donate AZ stockpile to COVAX and FDA should focus on approving Novavax

My thought would be that it is - even if the vaccine is not used widely in the US - the FDA stamp will be important for the rest of the world and for countries that don't have a regulator like the FDA.

You really don't know what you're talking about. Many doses and intervals between were tried..as in all trials..it was not an error. It was found that the interval was the main reason that efficacy was improved and so now millions in Europe have the 12 week gap between doses.
