What happens when an academic's biennial "curses, I'm doing too much writing and my right shoulder/wrist is developing tendonitis, lemme switch everything including mouse to left" meets her "wait, I cut ulnar nerve and tendons on my left hand last year" moment? Details at 11.

It was enough for me to switch just clicking to my left hand and keep mouse in right. Other things I tried that might help: - Break timer - Mouse that tilts your hand more thumb out eg https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Sculpt-Ergonomic-Mouse-L6V-00001/dp/B00D68ZVY8 … - Body awareness, for me Rosen Method made a huge difference long term

- Trackpad on the left, so you mouse with right but click and scroll with left - I rarely use a laptop since I can't control the ergonomics of how I'm sitting or craning my neck Good luck! I'm glad you're paying attention to it.
