I’m pretty sure we’ll see evidence grow over time that the lost school year won’t affect testing outcomes within a few years but will have wrecked the emotional/social growth of millions of kids.

I wasn't suggesting 10% are going to be traumatized. But regardless, it's all speculation. My point was just that people are surprisingly resilient.

one also has to consider the net effect, because school is by no means a warm and welcoming place where you learn positive social behaviours for all kids.
