Inches and inches of skepticism and a final paragraph suggesting that more studies need to be done. The idea that science is the answer is no doubt correct. Perhaps I’m being too sensitive and your article merely reflects a general attitude that I don’t want to hear.

You may want to reread it. Not inches of skepticism, it's pointed criticism supported by facts. The quoted study would be sort of like if Pfizer tested their vaccine with no placebo group. Her article isn't an "attitude" it's a refutation of terribly shoddy data analysis.
