When they shut down Wuhan. That was #TheMoment for me. No way would the Chinese government do that if they didn’t have a big problem. And by then, if they did, we would too, eventually.https://twitter.com/lourdesgnavarro/status/1365844493434572801 …

We all have #TheMoment when we knew things were going to be different. Where were you and what were you thinking a year ago? We are one year into this pandemic. Tell us @NPR @NPRWeekend

I’d been following. I’d ordered supplies, masks, first week of January. But that was abundance of caution. When Wuhan shut down? Yep. Turning point. Started front loading all my medical visits, canceling travel, warning social networks as best I could, etc.

Yeah. Us too. I was thinking of pulling our kids too, then our school closed in abundance of caution. Thank God. By mid April, one of our community members had died. I thank God we live in Dane county where ppl listened to public health @PublicHealthMDC.

Yes when I saw the photos where they had shut down the freeways in and out of Wuhan, it was clear. And when we didn't do anything about internal travel I knew we wouldn't be able to control it.

For me, the #TheMoment was the news that they were feverishly building new hospitals in Wuhan (mid Jan). I also thought that there's no way the Chinese govt would be doing that unless they knew they're dealing with a seriously contagious and virulent disease.

When Disney and Vegas shut down, I knew it was bigger than we were thinking. People were already dying in large numbers but when those two closed, followed by the NBA, NFL and MLB, we knew it was bad.
