The shortened news cycle is dangerous. Science reporting should not prioritize getting things out *faster*, but getting things *accurate* and having research findings/ methods sufficiently *scrutinized* by the scientific community. I totally see your point now, having read the document. It's definitely a pre-pre-print. What's troubling to me is that it's uploaded on bioRxiv. How did journalists pick it up so fast? Data journalism and computational research reinforce each other by pumping out so much.
