Sure but I don’t remember the saying “this is the best country in the world” being an almost undisputed and frequent talking point for average folks as much as politicians and other public figures alike in my previous two countries.

Nationalism is a worldwide phenomenon. Every country considers itself the undisputed best, and at first it seems jarring to those of other countries who can’t imagine how Latvia, for example, could think that.

Yes, because there are many many countries that are far 'greater' and offer their citizens a higher quality of life than America. America was/is plundered by its elite class.
