Yeah. If schools can open, they should open. Halfway or unnecessary measures don't help, and can make transmission challenges *worse*.https://twitter.com/jessica_bassett/status/1361818477754015749 …

3.8 million K-12 teachers. Vaccinating 1.5 million + a day now. Why don't states immediately vaccinate teachers NOW and send them in person in 3 weeks, with 80% + protection from infection? I do not get the public policy on this currently
-
Some states are. For example, CO opened vaccinations to teachers on Feb. 8th. It seems like CDC should have made this recommendation.

It can be quite good, we are doing this in some school districts and going well, i opted for in class, my sister in diff district is doing hybrid so her daughter still on track despite working at home. Depends on student though, we're lucky many districts flexible. ( BC, canada)

@CT_Bergstrom has a nice interactive model that accompanies a recent pre-print on this type of situation https://www.color.com/return-to-secondary-school-model …pic.twitter.com/KQDLJsRnsA

Exactly the reason we decided to stay fully remote. Not to mention the disruption to an already disrupted year. For, what, 15 days of in-person instruction? That seems not worth it.
