I try not to block actual criticism but things I've started pretty much automatically blocking to make Twitter usable: Snitch-tagging; "Oh you're surprised?" reply guys; People who respond to an article *I* wrote with a point made in the article as if I could have no idea.https://twitter.com/zeynep/status/1361678304793808897 …

Possibly. Using it with less restrictive settings right now, but wishing I had it last October when I got flamed over the criticism over Swedish strategy and GBD. Think it might be good for general sanity in moments like these.

If you have specific features, you can ask
@triketora et al maybe if something is possible? I think they are the most promising thing I've seen so far, but yes, everybody's use case is a bit different. - Show replies

Just to say, thank-you. The block lists have routinely been used not for their stated purposes, but instead to shun certain people of differing opinions (since the inception of the very first one, the BlockBot)

I hear you and agree there are issues but (a) f.ex. blockparty doesn't autoblock - it shuffles stuff into a separate place where you can look separately and (b) ending up in the middle of an ad hominem snitch-tagging is no fun. Nobody should tolerate abuse.

Block Party does occasionally, but they keep a file of muted accounts that you can double check. Then you have the option to unmute or block.
