Misguided idea, imo. Trying to "fact-check" whatever one encounters (because it's digital) is counterproductive and, frankly, an authoritarian impulse. Twitter has value in part b/c of that. I still find some benefit. But I've never written a story based on folks tweets. Doing so has damaged journalism. The BBC ran a whole story when Tom Nichols tweeted he didn't like Indian food!
