As a tech (or at least tech-sympathetic) guy I think the question of whether tech reporting is positive or negative is not as germane as accuracy. Too much of 'critical' tech reporting is like "electric scooters are terrible cause they are funded by VCs lol" -- just mindless ...

Reporting on tech is hard, because it requires a deeper understanding of how platforms work on a technical level.
And simplifying the explanations often distorts or completely hides what's happening. -
I'm absolutely fine with criticism of tech, but it helps a lot if the criticism is based in actual reality, not in how people think it works.
