Seems reasonable on the surface keeping in mind that there’s no perfect solution.l we know from pertussis and newborns, it is actually adding more vaccinations to adult schedules who are the source of spread to newborns I’d be interested in both duration & efficacy of one dosehttps://twitter.com/zeynep/status/1339925606109237248 …

If we move fast with trials for a single-dose vaccine, we might be able to double the number of people we can quickly vaccinate—ending this crisis sooner, helping with vaccine equity, and saving many lives. Given the known equity issues and distribution to higher income or more empowered populations I can see the rationale of pursuing a single dose schedule until we have more supply rather than fully protect some while protecting others not at all but would have to look at data

We should've had a trial, especially for younger folks... And follow-up for folks who do inadvertently miss their their booster to see if there's a signal there. So frustrating we don't know enough trials. Trials are hard, but operating without clarity is harder! Worse for trust.

I hear you. There’s definitely at least 100 different ways things could’ve or should’ve been done Sounds like you have expertise in the area of communicating and trust ..so you likely know that a lot of it is distrust of the broader system, not the actual specific trial data

I think that we’re seeing a very different way of approaching science for a collaboration not just in the silos. So it’s likely that having community health and communication experts at the table for the trial design may have improved the usability of final results.
