Yes. I'm sorry! Will delete/correct. My apologies. 5% compared to the non-vaccinated group, hence the efficacy. Thank you, brain not working well tonight. Breakthrough cases are rare, at least in the trials, but they do exist even if mild. https://twitter.com/3PSboyd/status/1359677934408134658 …

Think it'll be impossible to write the story of COVID without acknowledging a lot of "perfect is the enemy of good." Obviously, it'll come with a lot of Catastrophic Negligence too, but the now that Trump's gone one could argue the former is more immediately damaging.

Both my senior parents developed COVID-19 after only their first Pfizer vaccines. Hard to find a lot of data points for people who contract it between shots, and no way to know in this case for sure, but it appears that helped keep them from getting very ill.

Yes, ideally, we'd track all of these—especially to watch if/when cases that are severe or worse happen. I'm glad your parents weren't very ill, and it's not unreasonable to believe that the vaccination may have played a role (depending on timing).

Zeynep, your authority is a given. Reading your serious tweets exhausts me. Presumably, you feel similarly. Keep us guessing. Mix a joke into your tf. We'll <3 u equally, if not more, should this be next: What do you do if attacked by a clan of clowns? Go for the juggler
