It will be interesting if events and institutions start requiring people to have been vaccinated in order to attend. It will not only encourage good behavior, but will also act as an IQ filter.

People think they trust vaccines because they understand the science, but that's false. Sure, we read articles. But how do you *know* what's in that vial? Did you see the nanolipids? You trust the process. It's faith in the institution. Smart folks are often blind to their faith.

It still's pretty easy to conclude that it's in one's interest to be vaccinated even given mistrust of the institution; incentive alignment in this scenario is clear. Certain beliefs are sillier than others, empathy doesn't require us to value poor thinking.
