To make it clear, the remedy isn't to give false or unsubstantiated hope, but to get out of the "we don't know" trap when we *do* have some sense of the direction, but need more clarity with data (which we can say), and also to emphasize the real upside!

I swear, public health people are the most tone deaf, low-EQ group I’ve ever seen. I WATCHED FAUCI on TV yesterday say that by next winter, we “might” be able to ease up a “bit” on current restrictions. Are you kidding me? He is intentionally demoralizing people. It’s disgusting.

Eek? Maybe it was a short clip and there was more context?? If we say we can't ease up even a "bit" till next winter, we will lose all compliance pretty soon.
