In any workplace, disinfecting high-touch surfaces—especially non-porous ones like stainless steel—is sensible. Doesn't have to be excessive. Handwashing is *always* sensible. Washing hands after taking in groceries is sensible. Fomites are not ruled out.https://twitter.com/cativavante/status/1356258229748199429 …

Appreciate every one of you!
@DrEricDing connected me with@jljcolorado, & I found rest of the aerosol scientists through him. It was so validating 2 have scientific support 4 what to me seems like common sense, given accounts of various spreading events not otherwise explicable.Thanks. CDC changed their take on it very, very quietly.

From what I’ve read, there is a distinction between droplet and airborne, where the latter indicates dry(?) particles that can travel over indefinite distances (like through vents) Too many were slow to accept this virus “broke the mold”, ie spread by airborne droplet

It’s truly horrifying to understand how many people were forcefully infected with this virus. How many people were slaughtered because they had no option but to sit in a small unventilated space and die.

“It would have been better to properly *explain* the mechanisms of airborne transmission so people could use judgement.” This is public health messaging we’re talking about. You have to be concise and clear. You can’t trust that most people will use good judgement.
-
This is obviously wrong since the countries that explained the mechanisms correctly are doing way better, while the ones that did not—like ours—are drowning in pandemic theater. You can explain mechanisms concisely and clearly.
