Plausibly, sure. But it would be surprising if we went from a pathogen w little to no (to my knowledge) epi evidence of transmission in context of surgical masks to one in which an upgrade beyond standard surgical mask made more than a small difference.

(Also forget N95s, I want properly certified cloth masks as well—the three specific layers as per the WHO guidelines plus nose bridge adjustment plus length adjustment. It's really shouldn't be on home sewers to get that right. The ones I see for sale are all over the place!)

We've (the high risk precaution-takers) also had a profound lack of data on which to make asks of those around us. I appreciate this thread -- as a young(ish), healthy, high risk person who can't isolate, all I have is what's physically w/in my own control.
