Question re:K/N95 re-use. We need official/authoritative guidance. Use it carefully and let it sit for a few days in a paper bag or a non-airtight box disinfect (don't wash or heat) and keep using it is my unofficial guidance based on this paper. Anyone? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7724761/ …https://twitter.com/cwarzel/status/1352299319617982465 …

My guess is that the kind of particle sizes that would actually clog it are orders of magnitude larger than the particles we're worried about. If it gets "clogged" it's clogged by dust.

*Any* clogging will increase bypass flow around the mask in both directions. Such a mask should be considered contaminated and replaced or cleaned (if possible). Dirty masks are not safe. Seehttps://bmcinfectdis.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12879-019-4109-x …

It has been studied. In Taiwan health officials have instructions on how to do it with a rice cooker (an appliance everyone has there). http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/taiwan/archives/2020/02/15/2003731027 …https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogCTP3xCWkM …

There is electrostatic charge decay, again unknown over what timeframe (astonishing this hasn’t been established).

Probably you can reach noticeable clogging only when you use your mask in a very dusty area for a long time.
