So even when our antibodies fade, the immune system's memory B cells will make them come back faster upon reinfection and this is true even with mutations in the spike proteins a la the UK variant?

That's how I read it. If memory cells recognize the pathogen, then the immune system responds much faster than it would if it was a completely novel pathogen.
