I think it's hard to say that when masking is far from sufficiently done now
-
-
We do not have a problem with the currently masking people throwing off their masks too early that we somehow need to spend energy on now, but we have a problem with even HCW not taking up vaccines when offered and people at their wits end losing hope and giving up completely.
-
I agree with that but how does accusing scientists and public health agencies of misrepresenting vaccines or asking them to overstate their efficacy create demand for vaccines (including among HCWs) or build trust?

Media does bear significant responsibility - or at least what I consume, mainly
#NPR &#washingtonpost - which have a strong reflex against "good" things being news they should focus on. They try as hard as possible to find the grain of bad news in a good news story.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

It’s not anti-vaxxers sending the message to keep wearing a mask after vaccination. That’s a ridiculous statement w/o evidence & doesn’t square w what we know from decades of vaccine hesitancy research. It’s responsible PH experts & journalists who know the social sci research.

Tara not sure why you are misreading it, but this incorrect message—that we don’t know anything about transmission reduction and that nothing will change after vaccination—has indeed become key antivaxxer message. Once again, your community is circling wagons. Need to listen up.
