Good coverage of the latest messaging disaster, in a year with many. We are dramatically underselling the amazing vaccines, exaggrating the uncertainties and people trying to emphasize the good news are being drowned out, or worse.https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/18/briefing/donald-trump-pardon-phil-spector-coronavirus-deaths.html …

Re: the expert tweets, I really wish a lot of these folks would just stop with the ten-zillion tweet threads about mutations, outdoor exposure, “concerning developments in Manaus”, etc. It’s really not very helpful at this point and should be kept to listservs.

Already cut off a couple of experts I used for news before because of this

My son and his family are terrified to get the vaccine (they are smart folks) which means I won't be able to see them or my beloved grandchildren. This is huge and needs to be addressed asap.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Working in ER yesterday in one of Canada's covid hotspots, and 2 of the RNs working with me- both caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable- said they didn't get mRNA vaccine b/c it wouldn't stop transmission. Messaging fail! Underselling = misinformation = poor decisions.

I've been hearing this non-stop since December. Terrible.
