*147! Sorry!

Even better correction: *147 not a single of whom has yet recanted or apologized. And remember, this is after a good many of them got spooked by the mayhem and the violence of the day, and changed their minds on voting to overturn the election.https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2021/01/more-dangerous-capitol-riot/617655/ …

Ridiculousness of Trump's attempts to steal the election hid their seriousness. Let's not now be misled by the polite veneer and the formal nature of what happened on the floor after the mob was cleared, when legislators voted to their bidding. No excuses. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2021/01/more-dangerous-capitol-riot/617655/ …pic.twitter.com/YddtgkkFnx

Another Trump statement. Still no acknowledgment that Biden won the election. Meanwhile, only 10 Republican representatives—only 10—voted to impeach him, and not one of the 139 GOP representatives who voted to throw out legitimate votes have recanted.https://twitter.com/gregpmiller/status/1349500388026810368?s=20 …

It appears that we have one—a single one so far—GOP legislator who has meaningfully changed their behavior since January 6th. Tom Rice of South Carolina joined nine other GOP representatives and voted to impeach. (Yes only 10 did even after all this). https://twitter.com/Xanthe_Cat/status/1349535714967359488 …

Yes it is the Daily Show compiling this—but this is exactly what they meant by “1776.” It didn’t happen in secret. If you convince millions of people the election was stolen, why wouldn’t they try to stop it? They then voted to overturn the result and still haven’t recanted.https://twitter.com/jd_durkin/status/1349732479440048135 …

Sen. Hawley claims that he voted to overturn the election because he wouldn't "bow to a lawless mob" (he did exactly what the mob demanded!) and because these were the concerns of his constituents (because he and the president lied to them for months). LOL, Yale Law School.pic.twitter.com/oLapVDWXkV

I really hope that was the start of accountability and not the end.

I’ve been really disheartened by the fact that most people moved on so quickly and that I’m even seeing crowing about the arrests and impeachment. I don’t see how the US comes back from this actually...
